Gli Isopodi terrestri dell'Arcipelago Toscano. Studio sistematico e biogeografico

A list of 69 terrestrial Isopoda - including 4 genera, 12 species and subspecies recorded for the first time and 7 new species - from the Tuscan Archipelago and the fossil islands of Monte Massoncello, Monti dell'Uccellina, Monte Argentario is given. The known distribution and ecological notes are given for each species, many of which are described and illustrated. The faunistic relationships with the neighbouring territories are discussed and an initial hypothesis on the origin of the isopodan fauna of the archipelago is given.
