Private self-regulation standards, corporate social responsibility and environmental governance in the fisheries

The paper reviews main private self-regulation mechanisms emerged within the fisheries management practice for safeguarding the marine environment and fisheries sustainability, as well. The paper, hence, compares these different mechanisms and analyses their effectiveness from the perspective of the protection of the marine environment.
