Ipossia ambientale acuta in pesci del lago Verde (R.N.O. Laghetti di Marinello, Sicilia nord-orientale). Osservazioni anatomo-istopatologiche e considerazioni patogenetiche

Authors describe the anatomo-histopathological findings observed in fish dead for acute environmental hypoxia in a brackish water lake in north-eastern Sicily. Fish showed opercula flared and mouth open. Histopathology showed secondary gill lamellae teleangectasia, liver steatosis and muscle fibers degeneration. The changes observed are related to the DO measured in the water that was 2.86 mg/l.
