An application of back propagation to medical diagnosis

Computer-aided diagnosis of dyspepsia is of interest both to physicians and computer scientists. The authors describe an application of neural network using a backpropagation to this problem, which holds better results than previous systems. The program has been tested using a data base of about 700 medical records collected at the local hospital.
