Technical efficiency and community: what are the reasons for the internal mobility of immigrants in Italy?

With this work we intend to contribute to the analysis of migration flows in Italy. The goal is to understand if the internal movement of foreign immigrants is conditioned by the technical efficiency offer of the territory. To understand the determinants of internal mobility, we will focus on two factors: the size of the immigrant community in a territory and the level of efficiency of companies in the same. Our local areas of reference are the Local Labor Systems (LLS) and the period of analysis is 2007-2016.
