abstract:
Staphylococcus aureus is currently one most frequent pathogens isolated from cases of subclinical mastitis. The aim of the current study was to undertake an epidemiological investigation of Staphylococcus aureus strains isolated from farms in different Italian provinces based on analysis, by molecular biological techniques, of polymorphisms characterising the genes encoding for staphylocoagulase (coa) and for the X region of protein A (spa).
