Stopping power of heavy ions in classical dense plasmas

The results of a theoretical investigation on the stopping power of a heavy-ion pair in a dense plasma are presented, with particular emphasis on the two-ion correlation effects. The power deposition profile and the range are also computed and compared for different values of beam/plasma parameters.
