abstract:
The cl'fect of the introtluction of poly(cthylcne glycol)mc~llacrylatc (PEGMA) on structural. thermal and electrical
properties ol' solid electrolytes based on poly(clhylcne oxide) (PEO) and sodium thiocyanate. is investigated by means ot'
calorimetric, mechanical, X-ray difi-action and conducGvity measurements. PEO-PEGMA systems show in general a lower
value or the glass tranGLion tempcraturc as compared with pure PEO. The crystnllinity of the later has been found to reach a
mmlmum value at about 17% weight of PIGMA. In this situation it is possible to dissolve salt to II concentration x = 0.05 1
at least, without formation of the crystalline complex. The ionic conduclivily has hccn found 10 lx almost IWO orders of
magnitude larger than that or PEO-NaSCN systems.
