Contaminants of emerging concern and developping advanced remediation technologies

The present report suggests many examples of contaminants of emerging concern, shows some example of their interaction with the current wastewater treatment plants in Europe and provides an overview of the advanced remediation technologies. This report summarizes the experiences of the authors on lab-scale degradation of ofloxacin, both by ?-rays and electron beam, and the photocatalytic mineralization of a mixture of five organic emerging contaminants.
