Combination of fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) measurements with molecular mechanics results makes it possible to determine the most relevant structural features of a series of short, ordered L-(alphaMe)Val-based peptides [(alphaMe)Val = C-alpha-methylvaline] in methanol solution.
