Un'esperienza al di fuori di EVT. L'edizione digitale dei documenti dell'abbazia di S. Maria della Grotta sul portale internazionale Monasterium.Net

The paper describes context, methodology, tools, problems, development and plans for the future of the research activities that gave rise in 2018 to the collaborative digital critical edition of the documents of the Abbey of S. Maria della Grotta, which started as an experimentation of the editor of the Monasterium.Net platform and is now completed. It was developed by an international group and its function was to test the platform's possibilities of producing critical editions of documents online, to create a collaborative edition and to address the problem of the reception of digital products of this type within the scientific community of reference, composed mainly of historians and diplomatists. In relation to the theme discussed at the meeting, the process underlying the work of publishing gave rise to reflections, inviting us to reconsider also the target audience for a digital edition today, thanks to the possibilities offered by online portals and the collaboration of international networks of institutions involved in them.
