Osservazioni preliminari sulla rinnovazione naturale delle fustaie di faggio del Comune di Viggiano (Potenza).

Some studies on natural regeneration of evenaged beech high forests, clearcut on small areas to be transformed in an unevenaged forest, have been carried out. The survey shows how the blooming nitrophile vegetation, developing mainly in clearings, does not allow the establishment of natural regeneration, already difficult, in the studied area, also in the best conditions, as forest and clearing borders.
