New spiropyrazoline derivatives from the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of diazomethane to alkenylalkoxycarbene complexes are isolated and fully characterized as Cr(CO)5 complexes. Me3SiCHN2 reacts selectively with the C-C double bond to give new pentacarbonylchromium carbene complexes.
