A new species of terrestrial Isopod of the family Cylisticidae, Cylisticus lobatus, is described from Mt Marcello, La spezia (eastern Liguria) This species belongs to nasutus group and is distinguished by the presence of a strong setose lobe at the base of pereopod 7 merus male.
