Abstract:
Many e-learning systems guide the user by means of an initial test, and consequently define a suitable
learning path. In this paper, two further variables are taken into account: first, each learner is allowed
to specify his particular needs and aims; in addition, during the studying phase, he is likely to find or
be suggested further related issues. In this case, the user should be authorised to redefine his target
dynamically. The former factor is initially taken into consideration and an architecture is accordingly
proposed. This solution is extended afterwards in order to represent the latter.
Some implementation guidelines are also outlined in perspective of remote multimedia e-Learning
systems accessible through the Internet.
