abstract:
During March 2008 and again during April 2009, several
plants of Silene alba L. (family Caryophyllaceae) with leaf symptoms
consisting in vein clearing, light chlorotic flecks, mottling
and malformations were observed in the archeological area of
Cuma (Southern Italy). Leaf dips showed the presence of filamentous
virus particles 750-800 nm long.
