Il paesaggio agrario da ambito residuale a produttore di valori storico-culturali: una possibile chiave di lettura

THE RURAL LANDSCAPE: BRINGING NEW HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL VALUE TO AN OTHERWISE UNDER APPRECIATED AREA. - In the recent years, the theme of the Landscape has come to light for being at the crossroads of various disciplines, raising an intense scientific debate. The issues raised and the magnitude of the debate gave to the Landscape a supranational content. Indeed, the debate was fueled not only by the research and scientific communities but also by the European Landscape Convention, which from its beginning is drawing up the basis for a new concept of Landscape and is aiming at recognizing the complexity of the topic. In that sense, a systemic interpretative methodology will be used to better understand the diversity of all the natural and antropic elements interconnected in the Landscape. All these elements are characterized by a dynamic evolution. Finally, such a systemic approach will be essential to trace the historical and cultural values that have gradually built up layers to form our current rural landscape.
