abstract:
The dephasing effects on current statistics of mesoscopic devices such as mesoscopic cavities and Aharonov-Bohm (AB) rings, were investigated. The influence of an arbitrary degree of decoherence on the cumulants of the current for mesoscopic devices was analyzed. An AB ring which exhibits very regular magnetoconductance oscillations due to quantum interference is found to be sensitive to the decoherence effects. The Fano factor of an AB ring for the cases corresponding to two values of a perpendicular magnetic field corresponding to a maximum and a minimum of magnetoconductance, was also observed. The results show the influence of dephasing on transport properties of mesoscopic structures to evaluate degree of decoherence from shot noise properties.
