The article summarises the experimental activity carried out by ITC-CNR for the performance evaluation of a prototype cladding system with steel frames and pre-perforated metal sheets designed for the very peculiar spire of cylindrical and spiral shape that tops off a skyscraper under construction, and subject to particular wind load actions due to its position and shape.
