PRVS Procédures de Représentation de la Vulnérabilité Structurelle

This CD ROM was developed as part of the SVS (Vulnerability Monitoring in the Sahel) Project funded by the Italian Co-operation and implemented by the World Meteorological Organization as result of cooperation agreements by AGRHYMET, ITALY and WMO. The PRVS application has been made in the form of plugin using the VisualCarte software as platform. This software has been developed by the AGRHYMET Regional Centre (ARC) as part of the AP3A Project (Early Warning and Agricultural Production Forecast Project), and its version 1.0 has been already transferred to the nine C.I.L.S.S. member countries (Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, The Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal and Chad). The objective is to provide National Technical Services and other institutions concerned with food security with an efficient and user-friendly tool toward a greater capacity for vulnerability analysis and agro-pastoral season monitoring.
