abstract:
The presence of the freshwater crab Potamon fluviatile (Herbst, 1785) within the Arno River urban tract of Florence is reported, with a discussion on the possible causes of the absence of these data in the scientific literature. We concluded that probably the freshwater crab populations have always been present in the study area.
