Exploiting qualitative reasoning in the automated modeling of visco-elastic materials
Conference Paper
Publication Date:
1994
abstract:
The paper describes the automated modeling of the mechanical behavior of complex materials. The rheological models explains how the different fundamental mechanical properties combine to yield more complex behaviors. The models are mathematically described by an equation that involves stress and strain obtained through creep and relaxation experiments. The Ordinary differential equation that describes the model, characterizes the actual material.
