For whom should the coin flip? Therapeutic Interests and the Ethics of Clinical Research

Should clinical research and clinical practice be oriented according to the same moral principles? In this short article I explain why adopting a more person-centered view in research ethics provides an interesting answer to this question, and what implica-tions such a view has for rethinking how randomized trials are currently designed.
