HALECHINISCIDAE AND ECHINISCOIDIDAE FROM THE WESTERN MEDITERRANEAN-SEA - (TARDIGRADA, HETEROTARDIGRADA)

ln the Orosei Gulf, off Sardinia (Tyrrheniun Sea) two new species of Heterotardigrada have been found : a Styraconyxinae, Pa/'{fWllmrlll.l' kristellselli n. g., n. sp. and an Echiniscoididae, Echil/iscoides brulli n. sp. Furthermore a population of Th%arctlls l/atC1/lS has been found. The presence in the latter of peduncIes in ail the toes suggests the necessity to institute a new subspecies.
