abstract:
A biochemical and microbiological study of different organs (stomach, pyloric caeca and intestine) of some intensively reared red sea bream (Pagellus bogaraveo) specimens was carried out in order to extend the knowledge of the digestive processes of this fish species. The study was included in a wider research programme, aimed at evaluating the possible suitability of P. bogaraveo as a new species for fish farming diversification.
