Trend temporale nella comunità di piattaforma e di scarpata nello Stretto di Sicilia (1994-2004

Long-term changes in the demersal community, including fishes, crustaceans and cephalopods were examined between 1994 and 2004 in the Strait of Sicily. The mean total biomass per year (Kg/Km2) showed a negative trend both in shelf and slope. .Multivariate analysis presented different clusters in the two bathymetric ranges examined. Causes of the temporal changes in demersal community in relation to fishing capacity and environmental factors are discussed
