Analisi delle catture di Solea vulgaris Quensel, 1806 effettuate con reti ad imbrocco in medio Adriatico

The catches of sole, Solea vulgaris (Pisces, Soleidae) obtained by artisanal fishermen by means of gillnets in two area of the northern Adriatic Sea were investigated both a weekly sampling at the landing sites and through periodical observations aboard. The common sole generally constituted 20-30% of landings, while the remaining portion of catches was mainly represented by Squilla mantis. Analysis of the demographic structure of S. vulgaris catches showed an increase of the mean length form spring to autumn.
