The CCD Camera Based Imaging System On RFX

Academic Article
Publication Date:
1998
abstract:
The system includes various types of cameras. Standard rate (25 frames/sec) high resolution (768 × 576 pixels) CCD cameras have been used with tangential views in order to monitor an as wide as possible portion of the first wali surface. Faster cameras (up to 850 frames/sec) with Iow resolution or reduced field of view (fixed, 128 × 128, or variable pixel configurations) are employed to study detailed time evolution. A simple, PC based, image acquisition system allows quantitative analysis, with automatic recording and display. Several studies performed with the system by interposing proper interference filters, ranging from UV to near infrared, and by absolutely calibrating the cameras are briefly described.
