Polyenes and organometallic polymers for resistive and SAW (Surface Acoustic Waves) humidity sensors
Conference Paper
Publication Date:
1996
abstract:
The sensitivity to relative humidity in the range 0-90% of the polymers -[HC=CR]-n (R=Ph, C13H9O, CH2OH) obtained from monosubstituted acetylenes, and of an organometallic polymer containing intercalated Pt(II) and -C=C-C6H4-C6H4-C=C- moieties; have been investigated. The sensor devices are resistive-type and SAW-type. Fast, reproducible and reversible responses are found for both types of sensors. The chemical structure and surface morphology of the polymers are the most important factors affecting the sensors responses.
