Unconventional geoelectrical methods to observe the diffusion processes of contaminants in porous media
Conference Paper
Publication Date:
1998
abstract:
A geophysical survey, based on unconventional geoelectrical prospecting methods, was
carried out in a controlled test site located in Montalto Uffugo (CS), Southem Italy. The main
objective of the study is to outline the complex geological features of subsurface and to gain
information about the hydrogeological features of the investigated area. Subsequently, the
geoelectrical measurements will be used to control the time evolution and spatial distribution
of contaminants and to analyze the correlation between the soil resistivity and the hydraulic
characteristics of aquifer.
