Interfacial phenomena in metal-ceramic systems

The interactions between metals and ceramics are discussed from a thermodynamic point of view. The general procedures to measure metal-ceramic interfacial properties are outlined and some models to interpret the dependence of interfacial work of adhesion on the basis of bulk thermodynamic quantities are presented. © 1986.
