3D analysis for the prediction of the noise attenuation of a spark ignition engine filter box

The paper reports the numerical and experimental activities related to the characterization of the gasdynamic and acoustic performances of the filter box of a four-cylinder spark ignition engine. Different simulation approaches are considered to fully characterize the component behaviour.
