Nematicidal activity of aqueous extracts from leaves of Ruta graveolens on Xiphinema index.

Aqueous xtracts from Leaves of Ruta graveolens had a high nematicidal effect against Xiphinema index, in vitro. The LD-50 values, obtained by probit analysis, ranged between 83.14% and 1.79% of a standard solutyion. Nematode mortality increased with the increase of the leaf extract concentration and the exposure time. There was a high negative correlation (r=-0.973) between the log10 of these two parameters.
