Novel di- and polynuclear Pd(II) and Pt(II) bisphosphine complexes with (poly)ethynylthiophene bridges: sensitive membranes for the detection of Humidity and alcohols

Organometallic complexes and polymers received recently a great deal of interest, owing to their peculiar properties; for example photovoltaic effects [1], NLO properties [2], molecular wires [3], and liquid crystal behaviour. These materials are also effective membranes for the detection of relative humidity .
