Abstract:
Using time-resolved magnetoluminescence measurements, we carried out a study of the magnetic field dependence of the transient processes in strain-induced quantum dots. By analyzing the time resolved photoluminescence traces by an appropriate rate equation model we found that the recombination rate increases and the relaxation rate decreases with increasing magnetic field. These results are explained by the squeezing of carrier wave function induced by the magnetic field.
