Biocatalysed synthesis of the enantiomers of the floral odorant Florhydral®.

The two enantiomers of the floral odorant Florhydral(R) were prepared by enzymatic methods, and their olfactory properties were evaluated. (+)-Florhydral(R) was found to be Much more powerful than the (-)-enantiomer.
