Role of defect states on electrical and optical properties in CdSe nanorod thin films

In this work, we present the morphological, optical and electrical transport properties of CdSe colloidal nanorods as building blocks in electro-optical conversion devices, as a function of the thin-film deposition technique and of substrate functionalization. In particular, we show the role of the ligand molecules and of the defect states in phototransport and optical properties. (C) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
