Abstract:
Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSA) represents a high risk condition related to perioperative cardiopulmonary
complications.1 Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is the keystone in OSA. However, in some cases, non-adherence
to CPAP is a mainly adverse factor that requires early knowledge by the anesthesiologist. Currently, there are several specific
protocols to improve adherence to CPAP that are not always well-encoded.
