Determinazione dei microincrementi giornalieri nei lapilli di giovani lampughe (Coryphaena hippurus Linnaeus, 1758)

Preliminary investigations were performed to develop a technique to expose and interpret the microstructure of otoliths of Coryphaena hippurus, (Coryphaenidae). Lapilli were found to be clearer than sagittae. We estimated that the oldest specimen (male 52 cm FL) was 136 days old and the youngest 73 (male 27 cm FL).
