abstract:
The hydrodynamic behaviour of different solid matrixes crossed by water flows constitute a question studied up today. The conceptual models are different depending on both the type of the solid matrixes (porous and/or fissured) and the used methodological approaches (deterministic and/or stochastic).
Studies on these questions are reported in literature. but the proposed solutions need to be checked for the application to different hydrogeological situations. Difficulties linked to the description of the geometry of a fissured system have produced both the development of similarity methods between the two different media and the limits of applicability. The criterion proposed in this work considers the extension to fissured systems, of the relationship between the Reynolds number (Re) and the friction factor (Cr), generally applied to porous media. The Arbhabhirama and Dinoy method is used to represent the characteristic length of the medium, in which i t is assumed equal to the square root of the permeability. This work analyzes the results of different in situ tests on a carbonatic fissured system.
