An ac impedance study of the corrosion behaviour of mild steel coated with electrochemically synthesized polyoxyphenylenes

abstract:
Elecctrochemically synthesized polyoxyphenylene coatings on mild steel exposed to NaCl or H2S04 solutions were investigated by ac impedance measurements. The influence of coating cohesion, adhesion to substrate, and surface pfetreatment on the corrosion bchaviour of the samples is clarified.
