abstract:
The electrical and sensing characteristics of chemoresistive devices based on ZnO nanostructures on alumina substrates provided with Pt interdigitated electrodes were investigated.
Addition of Sn allowed to develop a sensor device with improved sensitivitytolow concentrations of CO and NO2, good signal-to-noise ratio and short response/recovery time.
Preliminary frequency characterization results showed a correlation between Zr parameters (in Nyquist plot) and gas target concentration.
The acquisition of further data is planned in order to construct an equivalent electrical circuit that, allowing the determination of individual contributions to resistance, namely: grain bulk, grain boundaries, etc., help to models the electrical response of these sensor devices.
