Effects of cd2+ ions on living pancreatic cells: a Raman micro spectroscopy study

The interactions of Cd2+ ions with living pancreatic ? (insl) cells have been investigated by Raman microspectroscopy. This spectroscopy has become an important and powerful technique to obtain information on conformation, composition, interaction and functioning of biological molecules. This study could be useful to study the toxic effects of cadmium.
