abstract:
New information regardig a horse bronze statuette found in a votive deposit explored at Banditella near Vulci (Canino, Viterbo) allow us to consider it as part of a bronze group and to date it to the early Orientalizing period. The votive offering reflects the relationships among craftsman of various origin working in Vulci and the skilled workers of Near East and of the Aegean. It justifies once again the importance of Etruria in the Mediterranean sea and the high capacity of the Tyrrhenian elites to experiment new oversea ideas.
