Confronto fra metodi di laboratorio e di campo per la determinazione delle proprietà idrauliche di un suolo argillo-limoso

COMPARISON BETWEEN FIELD AND LABORATORY MEASURED HYDRAULIC PROPERTIES IN A CLAY-SILTY SOIL Mathematical models are largely used in irrigation water management. In order to use them soil hydraulic properties have to be defined. In this paper field and laboratory methods to determine soil hydraulic properties have been compared. Moreover, a simplified method for the assessment of unsaturated hydraulic conductivity, starting from water retention and saturated hydraulic conductivity measurements, has been tested. The results have shown the difference in water retention close to the saturation in the application of the field and laboratory method. Moreover, the simplified method applied to the field data has given good results.
