Abstract:
The crisis of the legislative assemblies is a phenomenon observed for several years and has various causes. Since the 1970s, it was already referred to expert systems and more generally to information technologies to support the activity of the legislative offices and decision-makers. Nowadays, the tools provided by Artificial Intelligence can help the legislator and, in any case, the public decision-maker in enacting more effective laws and measures and therefore regulate society and provide for increasingly changing and complex needs. This paper highlights the possibilities currently offered by the evolution of linguistic models for processing natural language and outlines some particularly significant case studies in the legislative procedure while stressing critical issues.
