Methodology and digital systems for electroacoustical applications

Conference Paper
Publication Date:
1995
abstract:
Several special digital systems for electroacoustical applications proposed by SEED (a private Studio of specialists of Electronic Engeneering & DSP) and developed jointly with the Image & Signal Processing Dept. of IEI-CNR are presented. This activity takes advantage ofprevious experience carried out at IEI in the design and development of systems based on digital techniques and lately on DSP microprocessors, for sound's synthesis and biomedical applications. The system architectures adopted in order to improve system performance in audio signal processing, are presented They are based on both general purpose and algoritmic specific DSP processors and also on recent available audio interfaces. The systems are very flexible and can be tailored to easily satisfy different applications. The methodology for system employement are discussedn and some example of applications such as narrow band equalization and signal synchronous multichannel acquisition are given.
