abstract:
A new model and a new numerical method are applied to the simulation of the
transient of a flame in a BurkeSchumann conguration all through the steady state
for dierent ignition conditions The model built to simulate unsteady reacting
flows at low Mach number is tested against this transient flame propagation in
which strong property variations take place The results illustrate the interactions
between the combustion reaction and the fluid dynamics
