How global and local phase unwrapping techniques are connected

abstract:
The connection between local and global phase unwrapping procedures in SAR interferometry is discussed; they are both based on line integration of an estimate of the original phase gradient: the former performs the integration along a single path, the latter averages results of integration along all possible paths. The overall analysis is extended to weighted algorithms
