First record of neolignans from the marine phanerogam Posidonia oceanica

Chemical analysis of the secondary metabolites of Posidonia oceanica rhizomes led to the identification of several compounds. In particular, two neolignans, co-occurring with related metabolites previously described from the plant kingdom, have been isolated and characterised by spectroscopic methods.
